Types of Rooms

The hospital offers two types of rooms to meet the patients’ needs:

  • Standard Rooms: Equipped with a private bathroom, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, high-speed internet connection, private phone, and a sofa bed for your companion.
  • Suites: In addition to the mentioned amenities, they have a waiting room, separate areas allowing for more visitors, with greater comfort and privacy. They have a private refrigerator, armchairs for longer stays, and an additional TV in the waiting room.

Both types of rooms are designed to guarantee the patients’ comfort and privacy during their stay.

Specialized Units of high complexity

The hospital features specialized units for the management of a variety of medical and  surgical conditions:

  • Intensive Care: Includes surgical, coronary, and pulmonary ICUs, all equipped with  advanced monitoring technology and staffed by highly trained professionals.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU): CIMA San José Hospital is the only private hospital  in Costa Rica with a NICU, providing specialized care for newborns with critical conditions.
  • Stroke Center: With dedicated protocols and trained personnel, the hospital delivers  timely care for patients experiencing stroke symptoms.

Insurance and Payment Methods

All payments corresponding to outpatient services, hospitalization, and surgery will be previously verified by the Accounts Analysis Department and subsequently processed by the Admissions and Cashier areas.
