Domestic Patients and Insurance

For local patients, we have direct billing relationships with the primary health insurers in Costa Rica. We also have direct billing arrangements in place with some insurance companies that cover expats living in Costa Rica. In some cases, you will have some payment responsibilities. We will collect those amounts from you at the time of service.

The table below shows some of the relationships, but your specific terms and conditions may create a different situation. We recommend that you contact us to determine what type of arrangement exists between with your particular insurance company and the hospital.
